Picture Show!

Just a photo gallery....
I'll be uploading these (and lots more) to Flickr in the near future, but I wanted to show off the gorgeous drive I have up to my cancer center. These are some photos that show the kind of scenery I get on the way up. They can speak for themselves.

Those are some awsome pics!!! I don't get to see stuff that beautiful her in Las Vegas, unless you think dust and dirt are beautiful.

Ah, but I have been to Vegas, my dear, many, many times, and Red Rock Canyon out near Summerlin is one of the most beautiful places I have ever been in my life! Different beauty in different places, different ways...I love the desert as much as I love the mountains, you just have to look a little closer to find the beautiful parts sometimes.

Wow Steph. So beautiful! Looks like you could sit out there for hours and just listen to the sounds of nature. Looks very peaceful.
I have to agree that there are some beautiful places in Nevada too. Patrick and I just took the kids to Vegas after New Years and did some sightseeing outside of Vegas. Beautiful desert and snow covered mountains. We want to go again soon, but maybe go to the mountains and do some mountain biking.
I'm glad you have such gorgeous scenery on the way to your treatments.

It's funny, but the scenery actually has something to do with why I'm getting treatment up there in teh first place. We had to go up to the hospital in Paradise at the very beginning of this mess, for a totally unrelated reason and I saw the cancer center there and fell in love with the gardens, the tall pines and the overall "mountain-i-ness" of the area. Turns out they had a world-class cancer treatment program that fit perfectly with what I needed done, so how great is that? I HATE driving up there every single day now, but the fact that I can see eagles and cranes and scenery like this on the way up the mountain does help an awful lot....more than you might even know!

I totally believe that. The beauty in nature has a calming almost surreal affect on me sometimes too. Patrick and I go on little 4X4 adventures sometimes and sometimes the places we find are gorgeous.
I truly believe that that beauty and peace you find there can be healing in its own way.
